April 2, 2020
To All YNA Associates:
I hope everyone is surviving the “stay at home” time. Senior Management continues to stay in contact with our customers on their production status. In addition, we continue to monitor closely state and federal mandates and guidelines as it relates to the COVID-19 health crisis.
As of this date, there has been a slight change in YNA’s production status. Honda has notified us that they will resume production on April 13, and Subaru will resume on April 20. Honda has informed us that they will be making another announcement on Monday April 6 with further instructions on the actual return to work dates. We expect the April 13 date to be extended out further into April.
Please note: this situation is subject to change. Please check the YNA website and/or the Plant Operation Status line regularly for the most current information.
YNA has taken this time to thoroughly clean and disinfect all areas of the plant and will continue CDC recommendations as it relates to social distancing and cleanliness when production resumes. We have evaluated the concern of being able to maintain a 6-foot distance between each work station and found less than 5 areas where we needed to make an adjustment. The cafeteria and break room has had modified seating arrangements, and breaks and lunches will be staggered to allow social distancing to be maintained. Even though the “stay at home order” was extended, Honda has been deemed an essential business operation due to being transportation related. This allows all of Honda suppliers to be deemed essential as well. When we do return, the virus threat will not be over, and we will continue to operate with due diligence by following safety measures in place prior to the shutdown and guidelines set forth in the Governor’s order. We are taking very serious considerations regarding everyone’s health and risk levels while working here at YNA.
When we do return:
If you have a temperature of 100 degrees or higher and/or if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 – please stay home. If someone in your home has these conditions, please stay home.
We will continue to post new information on the website and on the Plant Operation Status line as it becomes available.
In the meantime, please take care of yourselves! I look forward to seeing you on the 13th. Sincerely,
YAMADA North America, Inc. 9000 Columbus-Cincinnati Road
